MTOA Annual Meeting, December 9, 2015

MTOA  GENERAL  MEETING
9 December 2015

Meeting called to order at 7:15 p.m.
Present: Randy McDonald, Mary Lynn Satur, Randall Edwards, Seande Pulley, Alex Kudo, Bill Wong, Sherry Wells, Jill Mauro, Michael Fontana, Gary Rayburn, Gary Tolbert, Dena Bartnicki, Myron Krueger, Mark Gatzki and Terry Gatzki.

A motion was made to waive the reading of the minutes.  It was seconded and passed.

Committee Reports:
Publicity – Terry Gatzki reported that the MTOA Website had been turned off in June due to expense and no one willing to maintain it. The MTOA Blog Page is still up a running.

Discipline & Grievance – Gary Tolbert reported that there had been four complaints sent to the committee. Three of the complaints have been resolved with the cooperation of the officials involved. The forth complain is still unresolved, as the official involved has yet to reply to our inquiry. The Texas Section became involved in this complaint.

Training and Evaluation
Terry Gatzki reported that the Roving 101 Class has continued after the previous instructor’s resignation. 

Seande Pulley reported that 24 new officials have completed the Roving 101 and Shadowing training for the year.

Randy McDonald reported that 6 attended chair training at Highland Park and three will be going on to do ITA matches. NJCC Chair Academy has six currently signed up for the matches in May.

Financial Report: Randall Edwards then gave the financial report. After an explanation of the financial report, Randall explained the increase in income and expenses. Income increase was due to an increase in revenue generated by processing payroll for Pro tournaments. He indicated that over 300 events had been processed so far this year. Some of the increased income was used to purchase needed office supplies and bank checks.

New Business:
Terry Gatzki discussed a recent request from the TbarM for chair officials for a club challenge event to be held during the Dallas Challenger. Additional information will need to be obtained.

Terry Gatzki announced that Roz Tuerk had requested to go off the board. For her 15 years of service to MTOA as secretary and having served on the board since at least 1993 (from our records) a Service Plaque and our thanks will be sent to Roz, as she was unable to attend the meeting.

Election of board members:  Nominations for the board for terms ending 31 December 2018 were; Randall Edwards,  Mryon Krueger, Dwayne Enderly, and Dena Bartnicki.   There were no nominations from the floor.  A motion was made to accept the slate.  It was seconded and passed. 

Motion made for adjournment.  Seconded and passed.
Meeting adjourned 8:10 p.m.
